My husband found this vintage white painted coffee table and wanted to call it “Bob”. Why exactly he called it Bob, I do not know but since he found it he got to name it. It has a wonderful six-sided (hexagonal) shape with traditional column legs and some wonderful ornate details along the apron of the table.
I haven’t used Old White by Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in some time now and thought this colour would total reinvent this piece and by George (I should say) by Bob, it has been transformed!! Two coats of the Old White and a lot of distressing on this table. It has so many great lines so lots of distressing had to be done.
As the final step, I waxed the whole piece, cleaned the beveled glass and voila!! complete!! I didn’t really notice the tinting on the glass until I put it up against the white paint. I really like the way it turned out. I hope you all do as well.
It measures: 35 1/2″ W x 17″ H
