This classic vintage desk made by the Baronet furniture company constructed in the french provincial style has great lines and details that are second to none. Lesley is her name and she looks fabulous!! I picked her up in Niagara Falls from a very nice lady that I’ve purchased items from previously.
Stripping the top revealed a beautiful maple top. As I stained the top in a combination of General Finishes Antique Walnut and Java Gel Stain I was unsure of what colour to paint the rest of the vintage desk. I could have seen it in red or blue but I finally compromised with myself in doing this mixture of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in graphite, Old Violet and Old White giving it a rich and deep overall appeal. I left the hardware to give it a pop of interest!
This vintage desk measures: 48″W x 18 1/2″D x 31″H and has grown up from the little girl’s room to a piece that would look phenomenal in the living room as a stately desk or master bedroom as a vanity for the lady of the house to do her makeup.
