These vintage bedside tables made by Deilcraft Furniture are absolutely charming. They were probably made in the mid 50’s in Elmira Ontario. I found them in Burlington Ontario on “Fairlawn” Crescent owned by a gentleman named Kit. I didn’t actually get a chance to meet him as my husband went to pick them up on one of his trips to the GTHA.
I decided to use a custom mix for the vintage bedside tables made up of 1 part Versailles and 4 parts Old White by Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It’s mainly white with a tinge of green. After two coats of paint I distressed all the lovely edges and carved ornate floral vines all four corners. Finally I waxed both pieces with Annie Sloan Soft Clear Wax. The hardware was cleaned and rehung on the drawers in the front.
Holy cow do I ever love the way they turned out!! They are finished on all four sides making them useful in both the bedroom as night stands or in the living area as end tables that could sit easily in the middle of the room. Each cabinet has two good size drawers in them also.
They each measure: 18″W x 18″D x 26 1/2″H
