My lovely client Vicky from Hamilton brought me this victorian painted chair last weekend to have it match the Jacobean dining set “Glendee” I finished for her this week as well. I’ve done some research on it and it appears to be a quasi-renaissance victorian painted chair (more than likely a reproduction) but such great curves and lines!! So regal!! She will be the “King” of her castle!!
She chose the same colour as the set in the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Country Grey (I know even though it doesn’t look gray) and this great historical “new world” kind of fabric to match the colour and style perfectly!! My friend Jenn Vedder from Antweaked here in Fonthill did the reupholstering for this chair and the matching dining room chairs…. always a job well done!!
The distressing in the victorian painted chair matched the black in the fabric and gives it that old world feeling. This is going to look fabulous in your new dining room Vicky!! I can’t wait to see it all set up!
