I think we can safely say that spring is here in Niagara. The nights have still been a bit cool but the daytime hours have been warm and sunny and our magnolia tree is just about to pop!! I’ve started on a dining table and chairs for my client Barbara to go on her lake house porch. Wait till you see this one all done up!
I have another client, interestingly enough her name is also Barb, that dropped off an oak mirror to go above the “Lake” Jacobean buffet that she just purchased on Monday from me. She wanted it to match, so I painted it with two coats of my go-to favourite paint by Annie Sloan Chalk Paint a bit of distressing and some wax to finish it off.
Before and After:
Here are some of my early perennials as well. The daffodils you can see above were the first to come up … not 10 days ago they were covered in about 6 inches of snow and they still look great!! The hyacinths are the next to come up and then the variegated leaf mini red tulips. And of course, the magnolia tree is just on the verge of full bloom. I just love this time of year… Please get out there and enjoy!
