This versatile painted vintage dresser was found on “Kenilworth” Avenue South in East Hamilton. I picked it up from a gentleman with a big double car garage packed full of “stuff”. It has three large drawers with very sleek mid century hardware.
It has been painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Old White and then a coat of a custom mixture of Versailles and Old white. The layering effect produces a lovely patina when distressing is applied. With highlights of white and the golden colour of the cabinet beneath giving it an aged feel.
The top of the vintage dresser than got a topcoat of Artisan Enhancements water based topcoat for protection and durability. After that dried the whole unit received a good coat of Annie Sloan Clear Soft Wax. The hardware received a good cleaning and a new coat of Rustoleum Antique Copper.
It measures 42″W x 19″D x 34″H (+ 3″ back band) and is the perfect size for a baby’s change table or room, child’s bedroom, guest room, shabby chic tv room for your TV, or even a great table at your front door for additional storage. It surely is very versatile.
