Imagine a lovely porch overlooking the lake and sharing a meal with your family and friends. This painted porch hutch for my client Barbara will be sitting on her newly built home’s porch overlooking Lake Erie. I have to admit I’m a little envious and can’t wait to see it all set up in its new home on the porch with a table and chair set that I will be working on next for her.
This really well built solid wood hutch (two pieces) made in Quebec has been transformed into this great farmhouse hutch for a laid back clean look. The hutch has this wonderful bowed glass nicely fit into its doors and classic hardware painted and distressed keeping its farmhouse feel.
I chose the General Finishes Acrylic Milk Paint in Antique White because this piece will be sitting on the covered porch all year round and required something that will help to keep it looking great for many years to come. Along with the milk paint, a few coats of GF High-Performance Top Coat has been also added for that additional durability.
I can’t wait to see it all set up on your porch Barbara!!
