I’ve wanted to work on a piece like this, painted mid century modern sideboard, for a very long time . Ever since clients Allison and “Steve” purchased the Isabella Dresser with mirror for their guest room back in the spring I’ve been looking for a piece for their dining room in the mid century modern style.
One day this past summer I stumbled across this piece at the local ReStore and knew it was perfect for Allison and Steve. They too thought it was awesome but weren’t ready to have it done until now.
They loved how Stacey’s dining suite turned out last week and thought the General Finishes Lamp Black would fit in well for their space also. As of recent, these mid century modern pieces have become very popular in the two toned finish. I suggested this to Steve and Allison and they just loved it. So the front of the drawers were stained with General Finishes Antique Walnut giving it a dramatic and absolutely stunning final product. The final step involved sealing all the surfaces with Artisan Enhancements No VOC Soy based topcoat.
All I can say about this painted mid century modern sideboard is Wow, Wow, Wow!!!
