I just had to share this unique painted games table I did for a repeat client “Lesley” this past winter. I had never seen anything like it before. It’s unique in that the top folds over when closed and swivels and opens to a larger surface area to play games on. So clever!
I first stripped and sanded the classic mahogany surface. One of the leaves had to be done on both sides. I applied a couple of coats of General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain… just love it! The rest of the table received a couple of coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Aubusson Blue, distressed slightly and waxed to perfection!
The lovely Hepplewhite hardware was cleaned and received a spray of Rustoleum Antique Bronze Colour.
