This is a lovely painted dresser was found in Ancaster. It was at the home of a couple that were “cleaning” out their childrens rooms because they had flown the coupe.
I blended a few colours for a custom look. I wanted it to be light in colour and definitely wanted a white base. I used the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Old White and some of my favourite Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Aubusson Blue. Clear wax and a spray of antique bronze on the pulls pulled the whole piece together.
After watching it sit around for the last few months I decided to give it an update. I white washed the whole cabinet and mirror with a mix of Old white and water by dry brushing the whole piece. I then distressed it and applied another coat of wax for durability.
The painted dresser measures 32″W x 17″D x 33″H and has three lovely drawers that are in very good condition. The mirror swivels and measures 36″H and has a scalloped sunrise motif on top. The mirror itself I believe is original and is still in very good condition.
