I thought I would share my most popular post for 2015. As a growing blog, I don’t have that many daily hits, but by far Pinterest has been my highest producer of clicks to my website. These are my most popular post of 2015.
Danielle Dresser – This fantastic Vintage Andrew Malcolm Highboy was painted and white-washed with a custom Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Teal Mixture and colour wash, both on the top and on the body of the cabinet. It was distressed and gold gilded for the pop interest. Definitely one of my favourites!!
Kathryn’s Wash Stand – This was a custom piece from a lovely repeat client Martha for her daughter Kathryn. It was an antique piece from her parents home and needed to be refreshed for Kathryn’s new space. It was refinished with Java Gel Stain and painted with ASCP in Old White. Such a classic!!
Greenhill Secretary – By far my most favourite wood to work with – walnut. When refinished it looks spectacular!! I left the top and inside of the secretary in its natural state with only a quick coat of Antique Walnut Gel Stain. The rest of the cabinet was painted, distressed and waxed with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in a colour called Old Ochre. Perfection!!
Royal Oak Dresser – Certainly one of my favourites. I’ve learned to love this colour. Lamp Black Milk Paint by General Finishes has become my go to true black paint colour. This empire dresser also got a couple of coats of gel stain and new ceramic handles to top it off. Sensational outcome!
Forestview Desk – The only way I can describe this colour is Hunter Green. Do you remember, if you’re old enough, to back in the early 90’s when this colour and dusty rose was so popular? My parent had this colour in their living room/dining room that whole decade. Today I think of it as more “organic” and “natural/neutral” in an environmental sense. Maybe this is why it’s so popular.
I hope you’ve all enjoyed my top 5 post for 2015.
