Ok, so I’ve had this mid century modern bedside table for some time now. The original post for it and its partner is here. It’s just the perfect little piece that could easily be put in almost any room. Picture it in your guest room that is light, bright and airy. Or in a chic modern eclectic living room as an end table.
I wanted a sleek and clean finish on this piece so I chose Antique White Milk Paint by General Finishes. To get this finish I used a sponge roller and did three coats on all surfaces except the drawer front. And over the milk paint, I applied the General Finishes High-Performance topcoat. I just love how these two products work together. If you are looking for a really smooth finish, like the one here that I wanted to accomplish, GF Milk Paint and HPTC is your best bet.
The fronts of the drawers were cleaned with the General Finishes recommended denatured alcohol/water solution and then one coat of the combination Java and Antique Walnut Gel Stain was applied to darken the surfaces.
I hope you love it just as much as I do!
