This classic French linen occasional table made by the Malcolm Furniture Company was brought to me by my clients John and Melissa from Hamilton. Melissa’s grandmother gave this piece to her and she wanted to update it to match the Duncan Phyfe Double Pedestal table that I painted for her also.
She chose the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ in a colour called French Linen. It’s just so classic!! I lightly distressed all the edges to give it a further aged and patina. The last step for the paint was to wax the entire cabinet with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ Soft Clear Wax. The drawer pull was taken off and cleaned. The final step involved giving the pull a spray with Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze for the finishing touch. Just so absolutely chic!!
Melissa also brought this mirror to be updated and painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ in Old White. She will be hanging this over her buffet to match the Duncan Phyfe table.
