What an adorable fancy French Provincial Dining Set! I look for these gems all the time but can’t find many at a reasonable price. The Niagara Falls couple that I purchased it from had originally picked it up in St. Catharines from a Christian thrift shop that apparently sells only slightly worn items. This couple lives on “Kelly” Crescent in Niagara Falls.
This set has six armless chairs all with a decorative back, caning, and those fancy curvy legs. The chairs, apron on the table and its legs all were painted with the classic Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White. It was all distressed along all those lovely edges and curves and waxed for protection and added durability.
The upholstered seats were recovered with this durable indoor/outdoor fabric that has Scotchguard built into it for greater durability. The pattern has these wonderful flower motifs in these neutral pastel colours that would go with just about any decor colour scheme.
The top of the table and extra leaf was in really good shape and received a light sanding/cleaning and one coat of General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain. After allowing to dry for 48 hours a couple of coats of Artisan Enhancements Topcoat was added for that perfect matte finish and great durability.
The table measures: 60″L x 40″W + 1 x 12″ leaf
I’m always so astonished how awesome these sets really are. They always turn out so wonderfully!

That is beautiful!
I have an unrelated question…..
I have been following your blog for a short while. I cannot get your “menu” button to work. When I receive an email post I try it to see some of your past work and can never get it to open. I have even opened some of your past post at the end of most of your blog posts and still am unable to open the menu. Can you advise me on this? Thank you.

Thank you Janie! and thanks for making me aware of this problem. I’m assuming you are referring to the mobile version of the website and you are correct if viewing in the “full site” mode… when viewing in the “mobile site” mode (at the bottom of the page) it is working…. this certainly is an issue either way. I will need to get in touch with the wordpress gods and see why this is happening!! Thanks again for letting me know. Have a great day!!
