The story behind this little gem, that I’m dubbing the media collector, came from a young lady named Kim. She sold it to me with a long face explaining that it had been with her for over a decade and even though it looked very sad she too was feeling sad for letting it go. She explained it came from a farm outside of Ottawa where she used to live.
It had a little chip in the front on top of the veneer so I decided to strip the veneer off and finish the wood beneath. It took a little doing but I got the job done with some perseverance and muscle power. I then sanded and stained with the GF Java Gel Stain. The rest of the end table media collector was painted in ASCP Old White, distressed and waxed. The little hepplewhite handle on the front was sprayed with antique bronze.
Great little piece as a night table, a table for your keys at the front door and of course a great end table that collects your media pieces (or magazines or whatever).
It measures: 25″W x 14″ D x 25 1/2″ H.
