I’ve had this dining room set for about 8 years and I just love the size and scale of it…. not to mention the lovely curved legs. It had quite a few scratches on top from the cats and the legs from the vacuum cleaner smashing into it. So it was long overdue for a makeover!
If you recall, I posted on Facebook, that I had completed two chairs from this dining room set with the hope of completing the other four before Christmas…. this is still my challenge to myself to have them done by then. But I’m happy to report that the table is now complete!!
I used my favourite General Finished Java Gel stain to finish the top surface of the dining room set table and sealed it with three coats of polyurethane. I think it turned out great!! The rest of the table (as the chairs) were painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White, distressed and clear waxed to perfection! The fabric I used was purchased at Fabricland in a Vintage French inspired motif in this great linen colour. I can’t wait to decorate for the holidays! I will share once the other chairs are completed and I’ve done my Christmas decorating.
