These country inspired tables were picked up on Stanley Street in Niagara Falls from a very nice lady helping to downsize a relatives home. Her home was just filled with “stuff”. I was lucky enough to snag these as I really liked that they were wood and country inspired.
I started by stripping the top of the tables. I then sanded and stained the two top surfaces with General Finishes Java Gel Stain. I really do love this stuff. It goes on wonderfully and as you add more layers the deeper and richer the colour. I applied three coats of the gel stain and then I started to paint the rest of the cabinets.
I chose the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in French Linen. I distressed the tables after applying two coats of the paint. I then waxed both surfaces with Annie Sloan Clear Soft Wax. Buffed them up for additional shine and here we have our country inspired tables.
They measure: 22″W x 16″D x 22 1/2″H.
How great would these look in a guest room or even as end tables in your urban chic living space?
