Clients Wes and Geri brought this antique country pine dining table and four Jacobean chairs to be refinished and painted. If you recall Geri had a dining set for me to do a couple of weeks ago and now this very cute set for their kitchen area. She chose the same colour “Paris Grey” by Annie Sloan Chalk Paint as the dining set.
After the paint, I applied a NO VOC oil soy based water cleanup topcoat made by Artisan Enhancements to seal the paint in. I then glazed all those painted surfaces to finish for that antique look. The glaze is a brown Van dyke made by General Finishes.
The top of the pine table was sanded and Gel Stained with General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain. I just love how the grain of the wood looks in this application. I then sealed the surface with General Finishes Gel Topcoat for protection and durability. Geri will recover these chairs with the same blue tartan as the dining chairs in her dining room.
I can’t wait to see everything in your new newly renovated home, Geri and Wes!!! I hope you enjoy Niagara as much as my husband and I do!!
